All Eyes on Inflation, Jobs Data Next Week

The latest Federal budget update will be released on Wednesday

Attention will be focused on jobs inflation data next week. It's safe to say another eventful earnings season has come and gone as well, though several names will be scattered throughout the week, including reports from Reddit darling AMC Entertainment (AMC), Campbell Soup (CPB), Cloudera (CLDR), Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS), JD.com (JD), Stitch Fix (SFIX), Ulta Beauty (ULTA), and Wheaton Precious Metals (WPM). The Federal Budget Balance will also capture trader's attention, slated for release next Wednesday, March 10. 

Below is a list of key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All economic dates listed below are tentative and subject to change.

The week will begin quietly on Monday, Mar. 8, with only wholesale inventories data on the docket. 

Tuesday, Mar. 9, will bring the NFIB small-business index, as well as the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) short-term energy outlook.

Wednesday, Mar. 10, will pick up slightly, with the CPI and core CPI for February both due out. Later in the day, the most recent Federal budget balance will be released. 

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries' (OPEC) will release its monthly report on Thursday, Mar. 11.Job openings data and jobless claims data are also due out. 

The week will end as quietly as it started on Friday, Mar. 12 with the PPI and core PPI on deck.
