The upcoming holiday-shortened week will still bring a fair amount of economic data. Housing and consumer data will highlight the week, as will the usual initial and continuous jobless claims. Earnings season will continue as well. The list of upcoming reports includes Applied Materials (AMAT), CVS Health (CVS), Shopify (SHOP), SunPower (SPWR), and Walmart (WMT).

Below is a list of key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All economic dates listed below are tentative and subject to change.

The market is closed, Monday, Feb. 15, in honor of President's Day.

Tuesday, Feb. 16 will bring the Empire State Manufacturing Index.

It speeds up a bit by Wednesday, Feb. 17, with retail sales data, Producer Price Index (PPI), Core PPI, Industrial Production for January, and the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) minutes.

Thursday, Feb. 18, initial and continuing jobless claims are due out, along with housing data, January's import price index, and the Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index.
