Here are three of today's notable movers, as the broader market takes a tumble following this morning's flood of economic data.

Caribou Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ:CRBU) is gapping higher on the charts and headed for its best day ever, after Pfizer (PFE) made a $25 million equity investment in the company, purchasing 4.69 million shares at $5.33 per share -- a 30.1% premium to Wednesday's close. At last glance, CRBU was up 50.5% at $6.13, and holding a marginal 2.2% year-to-date deficit. The stock has seen 180 times its average daily options volume already, with new positions being opened at the most active July 7.50 call.

Facebook parent Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:META) is in the spotlight as well, after the tech giant rolled out Threads, an extension of its Instagram service that is meant to rival Twitter (TWTR). META is inching lower at last glance, down 0.3% at $294.08 and slipping from yesterday's 52-week high of $298.12. In the options pits, the 483,000 calls exchanged so far today is double the intraday average. The weekly 7/7 300-strike call is the most popular, with new positions opening there.

Affirm Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:AFRM) is one of the worst stocks on the Nasdaq today, down 13.9% at $13.27 at last check, after a downgrade from Piper Sandler to "underweight" from "neutral." The firm cited higher rates pressuring operating margins, tighter underwriting standards, increased pricing and re-introduction of student debt payments. AFRM's 160-day moving average appears to be keeping losses in check, however. Year-to-date, the equity is up 37.3%.
