Today the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index and core PCE price index are slated for release, along with consumer spending data, the Chicago Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), and consumer sentiment data.

The following public company is slated to release corporate earnings today, September 30:

Carnival Corp. & plc (NYSE:CCL -- $9.16) operates as a leisure travel company. Carnival will report its Q3 earnings of 2022 before the bell today.

Looking ahead to next week, there is plenty of economic data on tap for the first week of October, including a flood of employment data. The earnings docket is extremely sparse, with Conagra Brands (CAG), Constellation Brands (STZ), and Tilray (TLRY).
