The ISM Markit manufacturing PMI and job openings are scheduled to be released today.

The following public companies are slated to release corporate earnings today, January 4:

MillerKnoll Inc. (NASDAQ:MLKN -- $39.82) manufactures and distributes interior furnishings worldwide. MillerKnoll will report its Q2 earnings of 2022 before the close today.

SMART Global Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SGH -- $73.00) designs and manufactures specialty solutions for the computing, memory, and LED markets in the United states, Brazil, China, Europe, and internationally. SMART Global will report its Q1 earnings of 2022 before the close today.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, Wednesday will bring the ADP employment report, Markit composite PMI, and minutes from the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting.
