Earnings expected from Micron and Nike
Though this week only has four trading days due to the Christmas holiday, there is still plenty of economic data for investors to sift through. And though earnings reports are few and far between lately, there are still some notable company's reporting, including CarMax (KMX), BlackBerry (BB), General Mills (GIS), Micron Technology (MU), Nike (NKE), PayChex (PAYX) and Rite Aid (RAD).
Today will bring leading economic indicators.
The following companies are slated to release corporate earnings today, December 20:
Calavo Growers Inc. (NASDAQ:CVGW -- $41.64) markets and distributes avocados, prepared avocados, and other perishable foods to retail grocery and foodservice customers, club stores, mass merchandisers, food distributors, and wholesale customers worldwide. Calavo Growers will report its Q4 earnings of 2021 after the market closes today.
Micron Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:MU -- $83.00) designs, manufactures, and sells memory and storage products worldwide. Micron will report its Q1 earnings of 2022 after the market closes today.
NIKE Inc. (NYSE:NKE -- $161.36) designs, develops, markets, and sells athletic footwear, apparel, equipment, and accessories worldwide. NIKE will report its Q2 earnings of 2022 after the market closes today.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, Tuesday will feature the current account deficit.
The U.S. stock market will be CLOSED on Friday, December 24, for Christmas. The stock market is technically closed on Christmas Eve in observance of the Christmas holiday. The markets will open again for a full trading day on Monday, December 27 at 9:30 a.m. ET. Friday, December 24, will be the last stock market holiday of 2021.
