Today the usual initial and continuing weekly jobless claims are scheduled, as well as building permits, housing starts, the Philadelphia Fed manufacturing index, industrial production data, the manufacturing PMI, and the Markit composite and services PMI's.

The following companies are slated to release corporate earnings today, December 16:

Accenture plc (NYSE:ACN -- $375.30) provides strategy and consulting, interactive, and technology and operations services worldwide. Accenture will report its Q1 earnings of 2022 before the bell today.

Adobe Inc. (NYSE:ADBE -- $630.33) engages in the provision of facility services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. Adobe will report its Q4 earnings of 2021 before the bell today.

Carnival Corp. & plc (NYSE:CCL -- $17.89) operates as a leisure travel company. Carnival will report its Q2 earnings of 2022 before the bell today.

Jabil Inc. (NYSE:JBL -- $63.78) provides manufacturing services and solutions worldwide. Jabil will report its Q1 earnings of 2022 before the bell today.

Worthington Industries Inc. (NYSE:WOR -- $51.06) focuses on value-added steel processing and manufactured metal products in North America and internationally. Worthington will report its Q2 earnings of 2022 before the bell today.
