Before we dive into the big earnings reports scheduled for today, we will quickly recap yesterday's trading session. The Dow finished the day up over 320 points, returning some of last week's losses, alongside the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq, as Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL -- $115.36) extended its impressive gains ahead of its grand reveal slated for today at their product announcement event.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI - 27,993.33) added 327.7 points, or 1.2%. American Express (AXP) paced the list of winners today, finishing the day 3.8% higher on Monday. Meanwhile, Chevron (CVX) landed at the bottom with a modest 0.5% drop.

Meanwhile, the S&P 500 Index (SPX - 3,383.54) gained 42.6 points, or 1.3% for the day yesterday. The Nasdaq Composite (IXIC - 11,056.65) tacked on 203.1 points, or 1.9% during yesterday's session. 

Lastly, the Cboe Volatility Index (VIX - 25.85) fell 1 point, or 3.8%.

In addition to an expanded earnings lineup today compared to yesterday, the International Energy Agency (IEA) monthly oil market report will be released, along export and import prices, manufacturing and industrial production data. The Fed's meeting will begin later in the day today, too.

We have rounded up all the companies slated to release their quarterly earnings today.

  • Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBRL -- $138.10) is a developer and operator of the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store concept in the United States.

    - Cracker Barrel will report its fiscal third-quarter earnings before the bell today.

  • Endava plc (NYSE: DAVA -- $55.18) is a provider of technology services for clients in the consumer products, healthcare, logistics, and retail verticals.

    - Endava will report its fiscal third-quarter earnings before the bell today.

  • Adobe Inc. (NASDAQ: ADBE -- $485.91) is a diversified software company worldwide focused upon the creation of multimedia and creativity software products, with a more recent focus towards digital marketing software..

    - Adobe will report its second-quarter earnings after the market closes today.

  • FedEx Corporation (NYSE: FDX -- $236.34) is a provider of transportation, e-commerce, and business services worldwide.

    - FedEx will report its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings after the market closes today.

On Wednesday, traders' focus will completely shift to the Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) latest interest rate decision, as well as retail sales and business inventories data. There are no earnings reports of note, but Fed Chair Jerome Powell will give virtual remarks at 2:00 p.m ET tomorrow.
