It will be a quiet week next week as Wall Street returns from the long weekend. There will be a few key events sprinkled on the calendar, though, including the Markit services purchasing manufacturers index (PMI) and the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS). The latest producer price index (PPI) is also slated for release next week. As far as earnings go, just a few names are set to report, including blue-chip Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) along with retailers Levi Strauss (LEVI) and Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY).

Below is a brief list of some key market events and a few high-profile earnings releases scheduled for the upcoming week. All earnings and economic dates listed below are tentative and subject to change. Please check with each company's respective website for official reporting dates.

On Monday, July 6, the Markit services PMI is due out, while traders will also comb over the ISM non-manufacturing index.

All eyes will be on JOLTS data next Tuesday, July 7. Meanwhile, earnings reports from Levi Strauss (LEVI) and Paychex (PAYX) are on tap.

Wednesday, July 8, will bring the latest numbers on consumer credit, while Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) will enter the earnings confessional.

Weekly jobless claims and wholesale inventories data are slated for release on Thursday, July 9. Helen of Troy (HELE), and Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) will all throw their hats into the earnings ring.

On Friday, July 19, the most recent PPI will be released.
