There's the latest inflation data to unpack, as well as the University of Michigan consumer sentiment index at the end of the week. Of the companies that do report earnings, Apple supplier Broadcom (AVGO), Adobe Systems (ADBE), Gap (GPS), and Ulta Beauty (ULTA) are the notable names.

The NFIB small business optimism index is due out on Tuesday, March 10, along with an earnings report from Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS).
