Inflation and Retail Sector Data on Deck

The first full week of September has a lot for Wall Street to digest. There's plenty of economic data to consider, including inflation and retail sales updates. Plus, there will be quarterly reports from the likes of Broadcom (AVGO), GameStop (GME), and Kroger (KR).

Below is a brief list of some key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All earnings dates listed below are tentative and subject to change. Please check with each company's respective website for official reporting dates.

Markets start the week off slow on Monday, Sept. 9, as Ctrip.com (CTRP) will report earnings. 

On Tuesday, Sept. 10, there will be the monthly Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS). Earnings reports from Dave & Busters Entertainment (PLAY), GME, RH (RH), and Zscaler (ZS) are also due.

The latest producer price index (PPI) will be released on Wednesday, Sept. 11, along with crude inventories. Earnings from Aurora Cannabis (ACB) and Tailored Brands (TLRD) are on the docket. 

Thursday, Sept. 12, features the monthly consumer price index (CPI), the Fed's balance sheet, weekly jobless claims, and the treasury budget. Traders can expect quarterly reports from AVGO, Duluth Holdings (DLTH), and KR.

Monthly retail sales figures will cap off the week on Friday, Sept. 13. But there will also be data on import and export prices, consumer sentiment, and business inventories. There are no earnings reports of note.
