Disney, NVIDIA Earnings Highlight Upcoming Trading Week

Several Fed Presidents will speak throughout the week

Fresh off the Super Bowl, economic data is quiet in the first full week of February. Earnings season chugs on, with high-profile names like Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR), Snap Inc (SNAP), Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA), and Nvidia Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) ready for their turn in the spotlight. Dow stock Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) is set to report, too. Meanwhile, JOLTS and trade data stand out on the economic agenda, as well as speeches from several Fed Presidents.

Below is a brief list of some key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All earnings dates listed below are tentative and subject to change. Please check with each company's respective website for official reporting dates.

On Monday, Feb. 5, the Markit's services purchasing managers index (PMI) and the Institute for Supply Management's (ISM) non-manufacturing index will kick off the week. Arconic (ARNC), Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY), Cirrus Logic (CRUS), Fabrinet (FN), Fortinet (FTNT), Oclaro (OCLR), Sysco (SYY), and Skyworks (SWKS) will report earnings.

Tuesday, Feb. 6 will feature international trade data, as well as the Labor Department's Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS). St. Louis Fed President James Bullard is expected to speak in the morning. Walt Disney (DIS), AECOM Tech (ACM), Akamai Technology (AKAM), Archer-Daniels Midland (ADM), Array Biopharma (ARRY), Centene (CNC), Cerner Corporation (CERN), Chipotle (CMG), Dunkin Brands (DNKN), General Motors (GM), Gilead Sciences (GILD), Snap Inc (SNAP), and Spirit Airlines (SAVE) will all step up to the earnings plate.

On Wednesday, Feb. 7, the latest MBA mortgage index and the weekly crude inventories update will be released. New York Fed President William Dudley and Chicago Fed President Charles Evans will speak in the morning. 21st Century Fox (FOXA), Allstate (ALL), Hain Celestial (HAIN), Hasbro (HAS), Humana (HUM), iRobot (IRBT), Michael Kors (KORS), NXPI Semiconductors (NXPI), O'Reilly Automotive (ORLY), Take-Two Interactive (TTWO), Tesla (TSLA), Trivago (TRVG), and Yelp (YELP) are slated for earnings reports.

On Thursday, Feb. 8, weekly jobless claims and the Fed's balance sheet will be released. Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari, Dallas Fed President Robert Kaplan, and Kansas City Fed President Esther George will all speak throughout the day. Activision Blizzard (ATVI), CVS Health (CVS), Expedia (EXPE), FireEye (FEYE), GrubHub (GRUB), Kellogg Company (K), NVIDIA (NVDA), Philip Morris (PM), Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (REGN), Teva Pharmaceuticals (TEVA), Twitter (TWTR), Yum! Brands (YUM), and Zillow Group (ZG) earnings are due.

Earnings from Cboe Global Markets (CBOE) will close out the week on Friday, Feb. 9
