Analysts are weighing in on financial stock LendingClub Corp (NYSE:LC), automotive tech specialist Mobileye NV (NYSE:MBLY), and chipmaker NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA)Here's a quick roundup of today's brokerage notes on LC, MBLY, and NVDA.

  • Scandal-ridden financial stock LC is down another 1.3% today at $4.90, after Craig-Hallum reinstated coverage with a "hold" rating and a $7 price target. This is more of the same for the shares, which have surrendered nearly 57% of their value year-to-date. This is hardly the only negative analyst attention LendingClub Corp's received, either. In fact, all 10 brokerage firms tracking LC have assigned it a "hold" or worse rating.
  • Berenberg initiated coverage on MBLY with a "buy" endorsement and a $51 price target. The positive note has the stock 5.6% higher at $38.88, though it remains 8% lower on a year-to-date basis. Plus, Mobileye NV shares are now encountering resistance from their descending 200-day moving average. Short sellers are likely sweating bullets this afternoon. Short interest on MBLY spiked 15.4% during the last reporting period, and now accounts for one-quarter of its float. At the stock's average trading level, it would take nearly three weeks to cover these bearish positions.
  • NVDA has stumbled 1.2% at $46.97, as sector headwinds overshadow a pair of price-target hikes. Specifically, RBC Capital and B. Riley raised their respective price targets on the stock to $47 and $58. Longer term, though, NVIDIA Corporation remains a technical beast -- and is just a chip-shot from its record high of $47.77, notched on Wednesday. Options traders, meanwhile, are far more put-skewed than usual. NVDA's Schaeffer's put/call open interest ratio (SOIR) stands at 1.72, in the 98th annual percentile. A capitulation among skeptical options traders could result in tailwinds.
