After the big October jobs report, we only get a bit of a breather before the data deluge ramps up again. Coming up in the week ahead, we have another round of employment data, wholesale inflation stats, and a fresh round of Fed speeches -- all of which should feed into the ongoing speculation over a December rate hike.

Meanwhile, the pace of earnings season has slowed, but there are still plenty of names set to report -- including a handful of biotechs, a raft of retailers, and one notable tech giant.

Below is a brief list of some key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All earnings dates listed below are tentative and subject to change. Please check with each company's respective website for official reporting dates.

Monday, 11/9

There are no major economic reports due out on Monday, but Boston Fed President Eric Rosengren is scheduled to speak on the economic outlook around midday.

Thursday, 11/12

The pace picks up on Thursday, when traders will hear the latest report on weekly jobless claims, the Labor Department's Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS), the Treasury budget, and weekly crude inventories. Additionally a slew of regional Fed presidents have speeches planned, including James Bullard of St. Louis, Richmond's Jeffrey Lacker, Chicago's Charles Evans, and New York's William Dudley.

There are also some notable earnings reports due out, with post-close results from Cisco Systems (CSCO) expected to attract attention.
