Will they or won't they? That is the question leading up to Wednesday, when the Fed will announce its highly anticipated June policy statement -- followed by a presser with Fed Chair Janet Yellen and an update to the central bank's economic forecast. While earnings are light, there are some big names stepping into the earnings ring, highlighted by Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ: ADBE), FedEx Corporation (NYSE: FDX), Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL), Kroger Co (NYSE: KR), Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD), and KB Home (NYSE: KBH).

Below is a brief list of some key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All earnings dates listed below are tentative and subject to change. Please check with each company's respective website for official reporting dates.

Monday, June 15

The news begins bright and early Monday morning with the release of the Empire State manufacturing survey for June, followed by industrial production and capacity utilization figures for May. The NAHB housing market index will also be released. There are no earnings of note.

Tuesday, June 16

Housing starts and building permits for May will be released Tuesday morning. In addition, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) begins its meeting. After the closing bell sounds, Adobe Systems (NASDAQ: ADBE), Bob Evans (NASDAQ: BOBE), and La-Z-Boy (NYSE: LZB) will all release quarterly earnings.

Wednesday, June 17

The news slate ramps up on Wednesday, starting with the regularly scheduled crude inventories report. All eyes will be on the Fed, though, as the FOMC will emerge at 2 PM ET, followed by Fed Chair Janet Yellen's press conference and the central bank's latest economic forecast. Before the bell, FedEx (NYSE: FDX) will release earnings; Jabil Circuit (NYSE: JBL), Pier 1 Imports (NYSE:PIR), and Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) will jump into the earnings fray after the closing bell sounds.

Thursday, June 18

Thursday kicks off with the consumer price index (CPI), core CPI, and weekly jobless claims, followed by the Philadelphia Fed business outlook survey. Kroger (NYSE: KR) and Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD) will report quarterly earnings before the opening bell, and Red Hat (NYSE: RHT) and Smith & Wesson (NASDAQ: SWHC) will step into the spotlight after the closing bell rings.

Friday, June 19

Quadruple-witching Friday is relatively quiet on the economic front, while San Francisco Fed President John Williams and Cleveland Fed President Loretta Mester will speak. Earnings for the week will round out with CarMax (NYSE: KMX) and KB Home (NYSE: KBH) announcing their quarterly results before the bell.
