The Nasdaq Composite (COMP) has outperformed its index peers of late, notching record intraday highs just yesterday. In fact, the Nasdaq hasn't suffered three straight losses since December 2016 -- a whopping 64 days. According to Schaeffer's Senior Quantitative Analyst Rocky White, there have been only four streaks to reach 63 trading days since 2000, and the last two preceded huge stock market rallies.

The last streak of 63 days began in mid-June 2016, with Sept. 14 marking the 63-day point. That streak ultimately ran 83 days, ending in October, and preceded huge post-election stock returns. Prior to that, you'd have to go back to February 2009, which preceded what we now know as the stock market bottom in March 2009. Going back to 1972, the Nasdaq has gone at least 63 days without a three-day losing streak just 16 times total.
