Call volume on Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL) ran at nearly twice the expected rate, amid a big day for airline stocks. On the other hand, it was another tough day for gold stocks, although Yamana Gold Inc. (USA) (NYSE:AUY) calls changed hands at an accelerated clip.
VeriFone Systems Inc (NYSE:PAY) puts crossed at roughly four times the average, after the company offered up weaker-than-anticipated guidance. Meanwhile, with the stock still on the short-sale restricted list following yesterday's slide, Joy Global Inc. (NYSE:JOY) put volume ended four times higher than normal.
