The Week Ahead: Micron Earnings Take Center Stage

Next week will bring several closely watched economic reports, with investors eyeing manufacturing, housing data, and other key economic indicators. Traders will be particularly focused on Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index and core PCE price index data.

The earnings front is short with Blackberry (BB), Carnival (CCL), Darden Restaurants (DRI), FedEx (FDX), KB Home (KBH), Micron Technology (MU), and Paychex (PAYX) on deck. 

Below is the schedule of key market events for the week ahead. All economic dates are tentative and subject to change.

Monday, June 22, there are no major economic reports scheduled.

U.S. Flash manufacturing and service Purchasing Managers' Indexes (PMI) are due Tuesday, June 23

Expect new home sales on Wednesday, June 24.

Thursday, June 25, is packed with durable goods data, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) estimate, weekly jobless claims, personal income and consumer spending data, as well as PCE price index and core PCE price index data.

Friday, June 26, brings wholesale and retail inventories and a consumer survey from the University of Michigan.
