This week will end on a quiet note as there is no economic data on tap today.

The following corporate earnings announcements are expected today, November 19:

Foot Locker Inc. (NYSE:FL -- $57.56) operates as an athletic footwear and apparel retailer. Foot Locker will report its Q3 earnings of 2021 before the bell today.

New Oriental Education & Technology Group Inc. (NYSE:EDU -- $2.08) provides private educational services under the New Oriental brand in the People's Republic of China. New Oriental Education & Technology will report its Q3 earnings of 2021 after the market closes today.

Looking ahead to next week, Wall Street will be quiet during the second half of the holiday-shortened week, and the first half will be packed to the brim with fresh economic indicators.

The stock market will be closed for a full day on Thursday, November 25, in observance of Thanksgiving in the United States. The stock market will also be closed for half of the day on Black Friday, November 26. On Friday, the U.S. markets will be open from 9:30 a.m. ET until 1:00 p.m. ET.

Multiple earnings reports will also be rolling in early in the week, from big names including Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF), Best Buy (BBY), Dell Technologies (DELL), Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS), Dollar Tree (DLTR) , Gap (GPS), J.M.
