APRN and SNAP stocks will try to bounce back from recent lows
Several sectors across Wall Street will be represented in the earnings booth next week, including healthcare and retail, with
Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl Inc (NYSE:VRX) and
J C Penney Company Inc (NYSE:JCP) both reporting. Dow stock
Walt Disney Co (NYSE:DIS) will report on Tuesday, and Thursday releases from Amazon target
Blue Apron Holdings Inc (NYSE:APRN), chip name
NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA), and Snapchat parent
Snap Inc (NYSE:SNAP) will be closely watched, as well. While the economic calendar is relatively light, speeches from a handful of Fed officials will likely draw attention.

On
Monday, Aug. 7, traders will digest speeches from St. Louis Fed President James Bullard and Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari. For earnings,

Avis Budget (CAR), CBS (CBS), Depomed (DEPO), Gogo (GOGO), Horizon Pharma (HZNP), Mallinckrodt (MNK), MannKind (MNKD), Marriott (MAR), Sunrun (RUN), Tenet Healthcare (THC), Tyson Foods (TSN), and Twilio (TWLO) will report.
The schedule on
Tuesday, Aug. 8, will feature the Labor Department's Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS). DIS, ACADIA Pharmaceuticals (ACAD), Cheniere Energy (LNG), CVS Health (CVS), Deans Foods (DF), Endo International (ENDP), Fossil (FOSL), GoDaddy (GDDY), Halozyme Therapeutics (HALO),
Hertz Global (HTZ), Kite Pharma (KITE),
Michael Kors (KORS), Ocular Therapeutix (OCUL), Plug Power (PLUG), Priceline (PCLN), Ralph Lauren (RL), Red Robin Gourmet (RRGB), SeaWorld (SEAS), TrueCar (TRUE), VRX, and Wayfair (W) will step up to the earnings plate.
The regularly scheduled update on domestic crude inventories, along with productivity and labor costs, will come out on
Wednesday, Aug. 9. Crocs (CROX), Dillard's (DDS), Impax Laboratories (IPXL), Intrexon (XON), Live Nation (LYV), Mylan (MYL), Office Depot (ODP), SINA (SINA), Stratasys (SSYS), Twenty-First Century Fox (FOXA), Weibo (WB), and Wendy's (WEN).
On
Thursday, Aug. 10, weekly jobless claims will hit the Street, on top of the producer price index (PPI) and the U.S. Treasury budget. New York Fed President William Dudley will speak. APRN, Kohl's (KSS), Macy's (M), Nordstrom (JWN), NVDA, and SNAP make up the earnings slate.
For
Friday, Aug. 11, Wall Street will get the consumer price index (CPI) and another speech from Kashkari. Earnings from JCP will round out the week.
