Analysts revised their ratings and price targets on Tyson Foods, Inc. (TSN), Bristow Group Inc (BRS), and Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl Inc (VRX)
Analysts are weighing in on chicken producer Tyson Foods, Inc. (NYSE:TSN), helicopter services provider Bristow Group Inc (NYSE:BRS), and biotech stock Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl Inc (NYSE:VRX). Here's a quick roundup of today's brokerage notes on TSN, BRS, and VRX.
- TSN is down 3.6% today at $60.95, on pace for its lowest close since Feb. 12, after BMO downgraded the stock to "market perform," and lowered its price target to $69 from $78. While the brokerage firm spoke glowingly about how the company is operated, it said the current valuation is too high. It looks like options traders are also betting heavily against Tyson Foods, Inc. Specifically, the stock's 10-day put/call volume ratio at the International Securities Exchange (ISE), Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), and NASDAQ OMX PHLX (PHLX) stands at an annual high of 32.33.
- BRS is on the rise today, after Barclays raised its opinion to "overweight" from "equal weight," suggesting the company could overcome recent liquidity concerns. However, the brokerage firm lowered its price target to $20 from $22, keeping it in line with BRS' average 12-month target of $21. Bristow Group Inc remains almost 39% lower year-to-date at $15.80, even after adding 17% today. This underperformance may be one reason short interest accounts for over 13% of the stock's float.
- VRX has lost over 71% in 2016, and analysts at Canaccord Genuity don't see the pain ending any time soon. The brokerage firm said it sees "substantial risks for Valeant in 2016," and maintained its "hold" rating and $40 price target. On the other hand, Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl Inc options traders have been betting bullishly ahead of tomorrow morning's earnings release. The stock's 10-day call/put volume ratio at the ISE, CBOE, and PHLX comes in at 3.03, which is higher than 89% of all annual readings. VRX was up 0.4% at $28.99 at last check.
