Retailers will grab headlines next week. Along with monthly retail sales, companies reporting earnings include J C Penney Company Inc (NYSE:JCP), Macy's Inc. (NYSE:M), Kohl's Corporation (NYSE:KSS), and Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE:JWN). Also stepping into the earnings confessional: blue chip Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO); Street newcomers Godaddy Inc (NYSE:GDDY) and Shake Shack Inc (NYSE:SHAK); and high-tech camera specialists Mobileye NV (NYSE:MBLY) and Digital Ally, Inc. (NASDAQ:DGLY).  

Below is a brief list of some key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All earnings dates listed below are tentative and subject to change. Please check with each company's respective website for official reporting dates. 

Monday 5/11

There are no notable economic reports scheduled for Monday. Actavis (ACT), Arrowhead Research (ARWR), Clean Energy Fuels (CLNE), Dean Foods (DF), DISH Network (DISH), Halozyme Therapeutics (HALO), Kandi Technologies (KNDI), Plug Power (PLUG), Rackspace Hosting (RAX), and Sotheby's (BID) will enter the earnings confessional. 

Tuesday 5/12

Hitting the Street Tuesday is the Labor Department's Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS), as well as the Treasury budget. Reporting earnings are GoDaddy (GDDY), Mobileye (MBLY), Vivint Solar (VSLR), and Zillow (Z).

Wednesday 5/13

Retail sales, import and export prices, business inventories, and the regularly scheduled crude inventories report will be released Wednesday. Cisco Systems (CSCO), Aramark (ARMK), Diana Shipping (DSX), Digital Ally (DGLY), J.C. Penney (JCP), Ralph Lauren (RL), Macy's (M), and Shake Shack (SHAK) will take their turn in the earnings spotlight. 

Thursday 5/14

Weekly jobless claims and the producer price index (PPI) will come out on Thursday. Stepping up to the earnings mic are Applied Materials (AMAT), El Pollo Loco (LOCO), King Digital Entertainment (KING), Kohl's (KSS), Nordstrom (JWN), Qiwi (QIWI), and Symantec (SYMC). 

Friday 5/15

The week closes out with the Empire State manufacturing survey, industrial production and capacity utilization, the Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan consumer sentiment index, and Treasury International Capital (TIC) data. There are no notable earnings reports scheduled.
