Stocks Snap Three-Day Slide as Yields Stabilize

Stocks rebounded Wednesday, as Treasury yields eased from their recent climb to multi-year highs. Nvidia (NVDA) and Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) helped lead the Dow higher, with the blue-chip index adding 295 points. The Nasdaq gained 118 points, while the S&P 500 and small-cap Russell 2000 also closed comfortably in positive territory.

The 10-year Treasury yield ultimately flattened out today after hitting its highest level in nearly two years earlier in the session, while the Cboe Volatility Index (VIX) declined for the fifth time in six sessions. The gains helped the Dow, Nasdaq, and S&P 500 break three-session losing streaks.

Oil Still Above $90 as Safe-Haven Asset Bounces Back

Oil prices rose as renewed hostilities between the U.S. and Iran spill over from yesterday's wave of strikes executed by the U.S. military. Front-month WTI crude added 0.9% to settle at $91.01 per barrel.

Gold bounced back from a roughly one-month low, as yields and the U.S. dollar cooled. December gold futures climbed 0.6% to finish around $4,423.90
