The Dow is up roughly 320 points midday
Major indexes are gaining traction this afternoon, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) up around 320 points as Nvidia (NVDA) provides extra support. The Nasdaq Composite Index (IXIC) and S&P 500 Index (SPX) are sporting healthy gains as well, with all three benchmarks on track to snap three-day losing streaks.
Treasury yields are easing from yesterday's climb and this morning's surge, with the 10-year yield last seen holding at 4.796%. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude is also near breakeven at roughly $90 per barrel. Meanwhile, ADP private payrolls came in below expectations at 38,000 for August -- the smallest gain since January.

Shares of Dell Technologies Inc (NYSE:DELL) are 5.2% higher to trade at $446.50 this afternoon, after the company posted an outstanding second-quarter report, including a hiked full-year outlook. Options traders are swarming in response, with 174,000 calls and 107,000 puts across the tape so far. This is seven times the average intraday rate, with the weekly 9/4 expiry seeing ample attention at the 450- and 500-strike calls. DELL is up 252% in 2026, the shares finally breaking out from a long-term consolidation near $400, with added support at the 60-day moving average.

Department store retailer Kohl's Corporation (NYSE:KSS) is one of the top stocks on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) today, trading up 7.1% at $19.08. While the catalyst is unclear, today's pop has KSS pacing for a third-straight gain and trading at two-week highs. Over the past 12 months Kohl's stock has added 18.2%.
Bloom Energy Inc (NYSE:BE) is down 3.3% at $206.61, lower with peer FuelCell (FCEL). A report out of Barron's also noted BE could join the S&P 500 this month. So far in 2026, Bloom Energy stock has risen 137%.
