It could be the end of a seven-session winning streak for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), with futures slightly below fair value. The Dow is being pressured pre-market by a rough day overseas, as well as a choppy morning for oil prices -- though August-dated crude futures were last seen 0.2% higher at $45.35 per barrel, after dropping earlier. At the same time, things look great on the blue-chip earnings front, as Dow stocks Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE:GS), International Business Machines Corp. 5 Things You Need to Know Today

  1. While Japanese markets rallied for a sixth straight session, earnings and data are taking a toll on European stocks.
  2. The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) saw 822,066 call contracts traded on Monday, compared to 567,901 put contracts. The resultant single-session equity put/call ratio jumped to 0.69, while the 21-day moving average remained at 0.65.
  3. Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE:LMT) reported better-than-expected second-quarter earnings and sales, and increased its full-year profit and revenue outlook. Collectively, the news has sent the aerospace stock 1.5% higher pre-market.
  4. World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE:WWE) is being sued by more than 50 former wrestlers, due to neurological injuries they suffered during matches. Their complaint is that WWE classified wrestlers as independent contractors -- as opposed to employees -- to avoid liability for potential injuries.
  5. Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) has tanked 13.5% pre-market, after the streaming services firm reported worse-than-expected second-quarter subscriber growth, due to higher subscription costs. The news is offsetting a per-share earnings beat, and has prompted a rush of negative analyst attention -- including at least 14 price-target cuts.
