Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) futures are signaling a lower open, as Wall Street watches oil futures cool after Wednesday's rebound. At last check, March-dated crude was down 0.4% at $32.15 per barrel. Making matters worse is a lackluster round of economic data. Specifically, labor productivity fell by its largest margin in almost two years, while weekly jobless claims came in higher than expected, putting traders on edge ahead of Friday's nonfarm payrolls report.

5 Things You Need to Know Today

  1. Japan missed out on Asia's rally due to a strengthening yen, while a busy day in Europe has stocks mixed.
  2. The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) saw 739,416 call contracts traded on Wednesday, compared to 609,491 put contracts. The resultant single-session equity put/call ratio was higher at 0.82, while the 21-day moving average edged up to 0.76.
  3. Camera maker GoPro Inc (NASDAQ:GPRO) is on pace to hit yet another all-time low at the open, after the company posted miserable quarterly results last night. The shares were temporarily halted in post-close action, and have given back 12.2% in electronic trade.
  4. While rumors have circulated about the firm acquiring a certain cybersecurity company, network specialist Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) has instead looked elsewhere for the time being. Specifically, the company announced it'll be buying startup tech and cloud focus Jasper Technologies Inc for $1.4 billion. Still, CSCO was last seen sliding lower pre-market.
  5. It could be a good day for Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE:YUM) short sellers. The fast food stock is set to open 1.3% lower, following poor fourth-quarter revenue. At $72.45, YUM was already off 3.7% year-over-year, as of Wednesday's close.
