Technically, AAPL is also trading near its April 2012 peak. This former area of resistance was taken out in mid-August and could now be an area of support. Earnings and initial reaction to new iPad could trump technicals, but still good to be aware of.
Another interesting tidbit is the current sell-off from the September peak has retraced 50 percent of the up-move from the May low.
