Bernie Schaeffer is Chairman and CEO of Schaeffer's Investment Research, Inc. and author of Wiley Publisher's The Option Advisor: Wealth-Building Techniques Using Equity and Index Options. Mr. Schaeffer has edited the Option Advisor newsletter since its inception in 1981, and it has grown to be the nation's leading options newsletter. He also contributed a chapter on sentiment analysis to the Bloomberg Press's book, New Thinking in Technical Analysis: Trading Models from the Masters. In 2003 Bernie penned a chapter on Technical and Sentiment Trading for the Bloomberg Press's book, Investing Under Fire: Winning Strategies from the Masters for the Bulls, Bears, and the Bewildered.

Mr. Schaeffer is widely recognized as an expert on equity and index options, investor sentiment and market timing. USA Today selected Bernie as one of their five esteemed panelists for the "2004 Investment Roundtable," based on his 2003 forecast, which according to USA TODAY, was a "Bulls-Eye!" Bernie outperformed analysts like Tobias Levkovich of Smith Barney, who achieved an average gain of +11%, and Liz Ann Sonders of Charles Schwab, who had an average gain of +10%!
