We take to the friendly skies this week in StockCenter, as this week's news from Boeing (BA: View sentiment for BAsentiment, chart, options) caught my eye. Airlines have been all over the news lately, but BA took the cake on Wednesday by announcing that it is going to delay the first delivery of its 787 Dreamliner by 6 months. The planes will now be delivered late this year rather than by mid-spring.

The Street took this news well, as the delay was shorter than analysts originally expected. This temporary run higher is surprising, as is the level of optimism the stock garners. Is this optimism warranted? Not exactly, as the Dow component faces a fair share of potential turbulence. What's more, the Dow component has underperformed the broader blue-chip barometer on a weekly basis since July 2007.

On Wednesday, BA was the subject of Options Update ... you can read that article here. Today, BA is the subject of StockCenter, which features a major motion picture movie star (not George Clooney or Godzilla). One hint: he played in one of (if not the) greatest comedies of all time.
