Google (GOOG: sentiment, chart, options) is up over $500 and this has most of the talking heads talking on tv. But not to be outdone, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME: sentiment, chart, options) is up to another new high, this time over $550. Overall, today's been a pretty slow day – with all major averages near breakeven. The one area finding some buying though has been gold, with the AMEX Gold Bugs index (HUI) up 3.65 percent. Sparking some interest in metals is a new Platinum ETF that is rumored to begin trading soon. Looking at a few names in this area, Newmont Mining (NEM: sentiment, chart, options) is up 2.30 percent and Kinross Gold (KGC: sentiment, chart, options) is up nearly three percent.
