This week on the Casual Contrarian we are going to take a look at Japanese video game guru Nintendo, ticker symbol NTDOY. Famous for bringing console video gaming into the homes of millions around the world with its original Nintendo Entertainment System, the company scored a big hit in the next-generation console wars with its oddly named Wii system.
While the name raised many eyebrows and sparked lots of laughter, no one at Sony or Microsoft is laughing now that the sales numbers have started pouring in. However, while Nintendo's (NTDOY: sentiment, chart, options) Wii is reaching out to scores of non-traditional gamers, is the stock worth risking an investment on the popularity of the system with nursing home residents? Is the non-traditional gaming market deep enough to support Nintendo's lead over Sony and Microsoft?
Join me in today's Casual Contrarian where I discuss the impact of the company's biggest hit in ages, the stock's technical prospects, and the all important investor sentiment outlook. I try to throw in a bit of humor in all Casual Contrarian videos; so sit back, enjoy, and good luck in your trading.
