Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDJX:DJI) are pointed slightly lower this morning, after the blue-chip barometer notched a modest gain on Wednesday. Traders appear to be awaiting direction from this morning's round of economic data -- all set for release at 8:30 a.m. ET -- which includes weekly jobless claims and personal income and spending data. Additionally, in the wake of Wednesday's downwardly revised final reading for first-quarter gross domestic product (GDP), today's speeches from a pair of Federal Reserve officials may garner some attention.

On the corporate front, GoPro Inc (NASDAQ:GPRO) is set to go public this morning. Shares of the portable camera maker were initially offered to investors last night at $24 apiece.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) saw 1,064,427 call contracts traded on Wednesday, compared to 517,206 put contracts. The resultant single-session put/call ratio fell to 0.49, while the 21-day moving average stayed at 0.51.

  • The U.S. dollar index is little changed this morning, with the greenback last seen at 80.24.
  • Elsewhere, crude oil is on pace to pare a portion of Wednesday's gain, with the commodity down 0.1% at $106.36 per barrel.
  • Gold, meanwhile, is looking to snap its six-session winning streak, with the malleable metal 0.8% lower ahead of the bell to trade at $1,311.50 an ounce.
