The Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDJX:DJI) is poised to finish the week on a high note, with futures sitting comfortably in the green ahead of the bell. With the peak of second-quarter earnings season in the rearview mirror, upbeat geopolitical developments appear to be driving the bullish bias. Also in focus today will be a bevy of economic reports -- including updates on consumer sentiment and inflation -- as well as a speech from Minneapolis Fed President Narayana Kocherlakota, slated for 10:45 a.m. ET.
Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average 2 Minute (INDEXDJX:.DJI) are more than 51 points above fair value.
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) saw 1.01 million call contracts traded on Thursday, compared to 607,912 put contracts. The resultant single-session equity put/call ratio fell to 0.60, while the 21-day moving average remained at 0.65.
