With the Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) policy statement due out this afternoon, futures are pointed only slightly higher ahead of the bell. In company news, here are some stocks to watch today:

  • Inside sources are reporting Toyota Motor Corp (ADR) (NYSE:TM) has agreed to a $1.2 billion settlement in order to end a criminal investigation into the truthfulness of its disclosures to U.S. regulators, following several cases of unintended acceleration in the automaker's vehicles. The defects prompted TM to recall more than 10 million cars. (Bloomberg Businessweek)

  • At The Walt Disney Company's (NYSE:DIS) annual shareholders meeting yesterday, CEO Robert Iger confirmed that subsidiary Pixar Animation Studios is working on a second installment of The Incredibles as well as a third Cars movie. Iger also said its recent blockbuster Frozen is on the verge of besting Toy Story 3 as the highest-grossing animated film ever. (The Wall Street Journal)

  • JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) has agreed to sell its commodities trading unit to Mercuria Energy Group Ltd, according to The Wall Street Journal. Terms of the deal are currently unknown, but when JPM put the business on the selling block last October, its assets were valued at $3.3 billion. (Reuters)

  • Chinese regulators have opened an investigation into Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc.'s (NYSE:NUS) business practices, prompting the maker of personal care products to suspend promotional meetings and hiring within the country. NUS said it will likely be fined and may face additional sanctions. (Reuters)

  • Also, Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE), FedEx Corporation (NYSE:FDX), General Mills, Inc. (NYSE:GIS), Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL), and SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY) reported quarterly earnings. (FOX Business; CNBC; MarketWatch; USA Today)

  • Finally, a boutique hotel in the Nob Hill section of San Francisco is offering one free drink to anyone wearing Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) Glass. There's only one condition: whoever visits the hotel bar in order to redeem the offer must take a photo of the drink or the hotel (presumably, using the eyewear), and post it online with an accompanying "#stanfordcourt" caption.
