Yesterday's Fed-induced afternoon tumble shows no signs of letting up this morning, as the major market indexes are in the red ahead of the opening bell. In company news, here are some stocks to watch today:

  • After conducting a comprehensive review of The Boeing Company's (NYSE:BA) 787 Dreamliner, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) determined the aircraft is safe, despite a series of problems related to its lithium-ion batteries. "We concluded that the aircraft was soundly designed, and that Boeing and the FAA had processes in place that were designed to identify and correct any issue that might arise during the manufacturing process," said FAA Administrator Michael Huerta. • Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX) will begin selling "Oprah Chai Tea" at its ubiquitous retail locations, as well as at SBUX-owned Teavana stores. The tea blend is named after businesswoman Oprah Winfrey -- the first time she's ever lent her name to a brand -- with all sales going to charity. (CNNMoney)

  • An Arizona Senate committee approved a bill yesterday that, if passed, would allow Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) and other direct-to-consumer automakers to sell cars in the state without setting up dealer networks. Even though Arizona is one of four states TSLA is considering for the construction of a new lithium-ion battery factory, lawmakers deny the bill is related. (AP, via Yahoo! Finance)

  • Yesterday at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, Sony Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) debuted "Project Morpheus," a virtual reality system for PlayStation 4, which is designed to immerse players in video games. Separately, The Wall Street Journal reports SNE is producing an original television series called Powers, which will be broadcast via the PlayStation Network. (CNNTech; CNET)

  • Also, ConAgra Foods Inc (NYSE:CAG), Guess?, Inc. (NYSE:GES), and Lennar Corporation (NYSE:LEN) reported quarterly earnings. (NASDAQ; MarketWatch; Reuters)

  • Finally, photos of Facebook Inc's (NASDAQ:FB) forthcoming Engineering Building in Palo Alto, Calif., came out yesterday. Designed by architect Frank Gehry, the 435,000-square-foot complex is surrounded by trees, and features a tree-topped roof as well as two walls of floor-to-ceiling windows. (TechCrunch)
