Futures are hovering around breakeven ahead of the open, as the stock market attempts to stabilize after a two-day pullback. In company news, here are some stocks to watch today:

  • Executives of automakers Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) and BMW had discussions earlier this week about ways they can cooperate in order to encourage drivers around the world to use electric vehicles. Separately, TSLA CEO Elon Musk said the company will begin allowing other car companies to use its patents to help accelerate the development of electric car technology. (FOX Business)

  • Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) is up over 6% in pre-market trading, after last night raising its full-year sales guidance. In a press release, the firm said the improved outlook is largely the product of heightened demand for business PCs. (MarketWatch)

  • Priceline Group Inc (NASDAQ:PCLN) has agreed to purchase OpenTable Inc (NASDAQ:OPEN) for roughly $2.6 billion, or $103 per share, in a deal expected to close in the third quarter. "OpenTable is a great match for The Priceline Group. They provide us with a natural extension into restaurant marketing services and a wonderful and highly-valued booking experience for our global customers," PCLN President and CEO Darren Huston remarked. (CNBC)

  • Reacting to an online petition for greater transparency, Anheuser Busch Inbev SA (ADR) (NYSE:BUD) and Molson Coors Brewing Company (NYSE:TAP) agreed to post the ingredients of their beverages. Because the Treasury Department (rather than the Food and Drug Administration) regulates the beer industry, manufacturers aren't legally required to list ingredients on product labels or websites. (USA Today)

  • Also, Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ:FNSR) reported quarterly earnings. (Reuters)

  • Finally, former NBA legend Michael Jordan is now a billionaire, according to Forbes. The upgraded status is the result of Jordan recently increasing his stake in the Charlotte Hornets to 89.5% from 80%. (CNBC)
