With the minutes from the Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) latest meeting due out this afternoon, futures are pointed slightly higher ahead of the bell. In company news, here are some stocks to watch today:

  • Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) is on the verge of confessing "corrupt activities" that took place at its Polish unit, according to Poland's Interior Minister Bartlomiej Sienkiewicz. An industry-wide graft investigation reportedly turned up evidence that IT firms had been paying bribes to secure government computer contracts. (Reuters)

  • After a three-month hiatus, The Weather Channel is returning to DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) today. Since mid-January, the channel has been blacked out in 20 million homes, due to a disagreement over The Weather Channel's per-subscriber fee and the nature of its content. (CNNMoney)

  • Toyota Motor Corp (ADR) (NYSE:TM) is recalling nearly 6.4 million vehicles around the world due to a variety of defects. Affected models include the RAV4 SUV and Yaris subcompact, as well as two others that TM produced for General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) and Fuji Heavy Industries. (Reuters)

  • Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE:GS) may decide to shutter Sigma X -- the investment bank's private stock-trading venue -- inside sources report. Executives are trying to determine whether GS generates enough income from Sigma X to justify keeping it, especially in light of the mounting criticism surrounding so-called dark pools. (MarketWatch)

  • Also, Alcoa Inc (NYSE:AA) and Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE:STZ) reported quarterly earnings. (Reuters; FOX Business)

  • Finally, World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE:WWE) icon The Ultimate Warrior has died at the age of 54. Warrior, who legally changed his name from James Hellwig in 1993, had just been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last Saturday. (USA Today)
