After four straight days of gains, the major market indexes appear primed to open in the red this morning, as futures are pointed south in pre-market trading. In company news, here are some stocks to watch today:

  • Facebook Inc's (NASDAQ:FB) Instagram division plans to expand its advertising business beyond U.S. borders later this year. Specifically, the rollout will begin with a select number of advertisers in Australia, Britain, and Canada. In other news, one FB investor has filed suit against the social network and founder Mark Zuckerberg over the company's director compensation plan. (Reuters; CNBC)

  • On Monday, Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) introduced its new line of Apollo server computers, which use water to prevent overheating, thereby reducing the energy costs associated with powering fans. HPQ designed the water to flow in areas where a leak cannot damage expensive components; moreover, a patented exchanger allows the warmed water to be used elsewhere in the buildings where the computers are housed.   • Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) announced plans yesterday to introduce PlayStation TV to North America and Europe this fall. The device is capable of streaming programming, as well as PlayStation games from a variety of consoles (including the new hand-held Vita system), to any television. Additionally, SNE will debut the open beta version of PlayStation Now -- a cloud-based service that streams classic games -- on July 31. (FOX News)

  • Inside sources are reporting Time Warner Inc (NYSE:TWX) is discussing the possibility of taking a major stake -- potentially worth as much as $1 billion -- in Vice Media. While exact terms and valuations haven't been reached, one part of the deal may include giving Vice the TV network HLN. (The New York Times)

  • Also, The Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack (NYSE:PBY) and RadioShack Corporation (NYSE:RSH) reported quarterly earnings. (MarketWatch; Reuters)

  • Finally, Boston Consulting Group's Global Wealth report revealed the number of millionaire households in 2013 increased by 2.6 million worldwide, or 19%, relative to the previous year. The U.S. paced all other countries, netting 1.1 million of those seven-figure households, for a total of 7.135 million. (CNBC)
