Futures are pointed slightly higher ahead of the open, as investors digest the nonfarm payrolls report for March. In company news, here are some stocks to watch today:

  • Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE:DAL) is attempting to phase out all of its 747-400 jetliners and some of its 767-300ERs by replacing them with up to 50 new wide-body planes. As such, the airline is seeking bids from Airbus Group NV and The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA); responses are expected by mid-summer. (Bloomberg)

  • After watching its Chevy Silverado get outsold last month by Chrysler's Ram 1500, General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) decided to boost discounts on the full-size pickup. Specifically, Chevrolet's consumer website is offering markdowns of up to $8,162 and $8,974 for the Silverado 1500 and 2500HD, respectively. (Reuters)

  • Due to ongoing tensions between Russia and the West, McDonald's Corporation (NYSE:MCD) has temporarily closed its three Crimean restaurants. MCD said it will try to support staff members, and reportedly offered to relocate workers that wanted to move to Ukraine. (BBC News)

  • Pharmaceutical giant Mylan Inc (NASDAQ:MYL) is eyeing the potential acquisition of rival Meda, according to inside sources. Meda Chairman Bert-Ake Eriksson confirmed that MYL had made "preliminary contact," but said further details would have to wait until later today. (The New York Times)

  • Also, Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) reported quarterly earnings. (Reuters)

  • Finally, Chicago Cubs outfielder Junior Lake accidentally wore the wrong uniform yesterday during a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The snafu lasted only one inning, however -- by the top of the second, Lake was matching his teammates. (Yahoo! Sports)
