Biography

James joined Schaeffer’s in January 2013 after more than 20 years as a business journalist, most recently as a Senior Business Projects Reporter for The Cincinnati Enquirer. Since leaving the Enquirer, he logged plenty of business-side experience, working as a technical writer, business analyst, and marketing analyst for several firms in the Cincinnati area. James has also written for The Associated Press, Copley Chicago Newspapers, and The Savannah Morning News. His business work has garnered several statewide and national awards, including Best Business Writer in Ohio by The Associated Press Managing Editors in 2005. James attended the University of Massachusetts, where he received his B.A. in Political Science.
